Smith Elementary School/Lange School
Hello, my name is Amber Perrott I am excited about starting my journey here in Oakwood Schools as the School Counselor at Smith Elementary and Lange School.
I hope to be able to help your child cope with issues that may arise, help them see themselves positively and teach strategies that will become valuable in life. I hope to be a partner and a resource for all stakeholders in our school community.
Harman School/Lange School
After 11 years as the musical director and Lumberjack Theatre Adviser at OHS, I am starting a new adventure at Oakwood Schools as the School Counselor at Harman and Lange.
I hope to arm our students with skills (executive functioning, emotional intelligence, social and life skills) to serve them a lifetime.
As we continue to take precautions to keep ourselves and one another healthy and safe during these unprecedented times, we want to make sure our students, families, and staff know the mental health and overall wellness of our students continues to be a priority.
As a district school counseling team, we will continue to be available to support our students and our families as needs or concerns arise, just as we would be during a typical school day. Together, we stand strong, ready to demonstrate that No Lumberjack Is Alone.
School Counselors (previously referred to as Guidance Counselors) support all students in grades PreK-12 with academic achievement, social and emotional development and career planning. Ohio School Counselors are licensed and have completed an approved master’s program and an extensive internship. They develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs that promote and enhance student success by collaborating with families, teachers and administrators.
